Federal Climate Adaptation Plans: Part 2 – Where is the U.S.’ National Adaptation Plan?
In the second of a two part series of America Adapts, Doug Parsons and Tulane Professor, Dr. Jesse Keenan complete their assessment of the Federal Climate Adaptation Plans. Jesse discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the remaining federal agencies’ plans. We also discuss National Adaptation Plans and the need for the United States to have one. Currently the U.S. is the only G20 country without a national plan. The first episode in this series is available here.
Topics and Adaptation Plans covered:
PREPARE – President’s Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience ($3 Billion collar press release, not much else.).
National Adaptation Plan (and the U.S.’s glaring lack of having one).
